Read about our trainers Aldyth and Gill

Aldyth has been involved in running training classes at all levels for a number of years, here and at other dog training establishments.

During most of this time Gill has been her very valued assistant.

At Crawshawbooth we initially ran classes just on Thursday mornings but since September 2009 we have also been running a Monday evening group where we offer a full range of services.

We have been granted Kennel Club Listed Status which makes us eligible to run the Good Citizen Award Scheme Courses - Puppy Foundation, Bronze, Silver and Gold. These fit in well with the very comprehensive training we already offer to dogs and their handlers.

Gill brings along her dogs, Finn and Roarie. Finn is her assistance dog who she relies on a great deal to get through each day.

Roairie is a work in progress, a young boy from Pre-loved Border Collie Rescue. She spends a lot of time happily helping individuals, particularly when they first bring their puppies or older dogs to training.

Aldyth Says

I have had dogs of my own for more years than I care to remember, of all shapes and sizes, in fact quite a variety! Also, until recently for most of that time I had at least one horse.

Penny, a Border Collie was responsible for me becoming seriously interested in how dogs learn and in helping dogs with issues. She became very aggressive towards other dogs as she matured and I have spent years researching effective rehabilitation techniques through reading books, internet articles and attending many workshops and seminars. She was the nightmare that made me wonder what, after so many trouble-free dogs before her, had gone wrong. I am still learning

Gill Says

I have been training dogs for a number of years and have two super dogs of my own, Finn and Roairie.

My previous dog, Banshee, a Mastiff x Great Dane, had a tendency to be aggressive towards other dogs I had to learn about effective training and rehabilitation methods, so consequently I too have been to numerous workshops and seminars during the last few years, often with Aldyth.

I learned such a lot from having this challenging dog and really enjoy passing on my knowledge and being able to help other people who also have dogs with issues.
